One garbage truck per minute of plastic enters our ocean every day. That's one truckload every minute. Now you’ve got an opportunity to take part in preventing it from entering the ocean.

Every London Grammar x Ocean Bottle bought funds the collection of 1000 plastic bottles in weight. Plastic is collected by locals from some of the worst affected coastal communities such as Haiti, the Philippines, Brazil  and Indonesia, who then exchange the plastic for money or receive digital credit to swap for tuition, tech goods, healthcare and micro-finance. This infrastructure is made possible with help from partners Plastic Bank who set up collection sites and ensure transactions to collectors are secure through IBM Blockchain technology.

To date, Ocean Bottle collected 1,607,606 kgs of ocean bound plastic, the equivalent of 141 million plastic bottles.

Packaging and production:

Our packaging is fully recyclable, made from 100% recycled material and is designed to have the least possible effect on our environment. The Ocean Bottle is designed by design firm K8 from Norway. The bottles are made in Shanghai via a factory that went through a rigorous vetting process and who are currently applying to be one of the only 4 manufacturers of reusable goods to get B Corp Status. It is made from recycled stainless steel, virgin PPE, silcone and recycled ocean bound plastic.
